Tandberg has launched the 3TB RDX tapes in Middle East. RDX technology is seen as a hybrid backup solution, which offers removable hard drives in tape form factor for easy handling and reliability. Tandberg Data is the owner of RDX technology after buying the patents from Prostor. Other major vendors offering RDX are HP and Dell .
